Wow its been awhile since I've put in a journal entry!I am self publishing my comic book Steam Maiden-I wrote and did all the artwork on this bad boy. I'm going to be selling copies very soon-stay tuned. Also I'm going to be selling copies of the book and prints on Free Comic Book Day at Docking Bay 93 in Mt. Vernon,WA.

My comic "Diner Of The Dead" is finally completed and I got my first copy in the mail yesterday. 32 pages of zombie mayhem that I co-wrote with fellow deviantart artist Ben "1314" Hansen. Monster Island Studios Happenings
Coming up this summer is issue #2 and #3 of "Diner Of The Dead" - the book is self published by Monster Island Studios and co written and drawn with fellow deviant artist Ben "1314" Hansen - printed through Kablaam. Very exciting times as we close in on the 50th anniversary special of the long running BBC sci-fi series "Doctor Who". I have been doing a number of prints of DW as of late with more to come- I'm also open to suggestions and commissions as well (please contact me at monsterislandstudios@hotmail.com and put the heading as "commissions" )

Hey hey there gang! Stephen Whitener from Monster Island Studios here with some new news and ramblings. First up is that issue 2 of Diner Of The Dead will be out in the spring. It's a 3 issue mini series with fellow deviantart alumni Ben "1314" Hansen. I have been wanting to get this out sooner but I have been having commission work as of late,full time 40 hr week job, and getting ready for my wedding in the summer!! I will have more details here very soon about the release date of issue 2 and a hopeful release party. I am soon going to be releasing a art book chock full of sketches,doodles,and finished drawings with commentary. More details
Monster Island Studios looking into 2013!!!!
Feeling lots of artistic inspiration as of late and that translates into more and more drawings! Coming out before December 2012 will be issue 2 of Monster Island Studios "Diner Of The Dead". This comic is drawn and written by fellow deviant artist Ben "1314" Hansen and myself (Stephen Whitener) Commissions are open and I draw most everything under the sun!
